Moving your history from another app
Export from your old app, then in Tensile open Settings → Import workout history and pick the file. Tensile reads exports from Strong, Hevy, FitNotes, Fitbod, JEFIT, StrongLifts 5×5, Liftosaur, Lyfta, RepCount, Alpha Progression and GymBook, any spreadsheet with date, exercise and reps columns, and Tensile backups. You'll see a preview before anything is saved, and importing the same file twice won't duplicate workouts.
Exporting your workouts
Tap the share button on History, or go to Settings → Export workouts. Choose a date range and units, then export a CSV (it opens in Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets and imports into most lifting apps) or a full Tensile backup you can restore on another iPhone.
iCloud sync
With Settings → iCloud → Sync with iCloud on, your workouts, templates, exercises, goals and logged measurements sync between your devices through your own private iCloud. You need to be signed in to iCloud, and a change to the switch applies the next time you open Tensile. Data read from Apple Health stays on each device, since Health syncs it itself.
Apple Health and heart rate
Turn on Apple Health in Settings to save workouts and sync body weight. Live heart rate during a workout comes from an Apple Watch, AirPods with heart-rate sensing, or a Bluetooth chest strap paired with your iPhone. You can change permissions any time in the Settings app → Health → Data Access & Devices.
The rest timer
Rest starts automatically when you check off a set. Long-press the timer for 15 seconds more or less, or to end rest early. With live heart rate, it tells you when your heart rate has come back down.
Deleting your data
Deleting Tensile removes everything on that iPhone. To remove synced data too, turn off sync, then delete Tensile's data from your iCloud storage in the Settings app (your name → iCloud).
